Vintage The Lukin Rule Co. Leather Enclosed Tape Measure 100" Saginaw, Michigan

Please refer to photos for condition.  I am listing a bunch of vintage tools and am not going to clean any of them because I am not of sure the best way to do so and/or if it hurts the value using modern cleaners on vintage tools.  I trust that if you are bidding on/buying any of these items you would prefer that I send them to you as is so that you can clean/restore them properly!
I unwound to check and all 100" are in tact.  Unwinds great and rewinds great too... gets a little tougher to wind in when there is only a foot or so of tape left.  No idea of the age and as you can see in the photos the leather is pretty beat - not sure if that can be cleaned up at all but I'll leave that to you!  Also it says "METALLIC TAPE" on the back and I"m not sure why bc the tape itself seems to be some kind of a canvas material, not metal...
Also, I know less than nothing about vintage tools and I am selling these as they were my grandfather's and his father's before him.  Again, I trust that if you are bidding on these items you will be able to discern what exactly it is by the photos!  If you would like to see more or closer up photos I'm more than happy to take whatever you require and send them to you.  Please just send me a message.
