    Companion was a brand name for less expensive tools and machines from Sears Roebuck Co.  The Companion name was replaced by Dunlap on 1941 model machines (starting in late 1940). Makers of Companion woodworking machines include Walker Turner Co. and Central Specialty (later a division of King Seeley Corp.
